Best poker training software, sites and apps in 2026

Nine products, one table, one honest weakness each. We make one of them, so we have put it in the middle of the list and given it the same treatment as everyone else.

GTO Wizard

The reference study tool. A vast library of solved spots across cash, tournaments, spins and PLO, a trainer mode, hand-history analysis and an aggregated-reports view that most competitors do not match. The free tier lets you browse a limited number of preflop solutions and one postflop spot a day. Weakness: price and depth. Premium is $99 a month at time of writing, and the interface is built for studying at a desk; casual players buy it, open it twice and let it lapse. PokerCoaching.com

Jonathan Little’s site: 65+ courses, 650+ hand quizzes, monthly live webinars, and a free membership with a few quizzes to try. The bundle with PeakGTO ($1,299 a year) adds a solver-driven trainer. Weakness: it is a video-first product. Your learning is measured in quizzes taken, not in decisions graded against a solver, and the annual price is a real commitment for a hobby player. Upswing Lab

A large, well-organised course library with weekly additions, a preflop chart app, and a members’ Discord where coaches answer questions. Strong for intermediates who want a syllabus. Weakness: no free tier and no trial (a 30-day satisfaction guarantee instead), and at $99 a month it is a course, not a practice tool. Watching a video about c-betting is not the same as being graded on 200 c-bet decisions.

Zayrion (our product)

A mobile trainer for 6-max Texas Hold’em cash games. You get dealt real solver-solved spots, pick an action, and see the solver’s answer, what your choice cost, your equity and the hands you beat. Because every decision you make is inside the app, it finds your leaks from your own data, builds drills around those weak spots and tracks your progress by concept. Hand of the Day, preflop charts, lessons from zero and review-your-misses are included; Elite adds exact frequencies and range-based thinking. Pro is $12.49 a month during the founding beta. Weakness: it is cash-only (no tournaments), Android-first (the iPhone version is coming, no date), and it is new, so the library and community are smaller than the incumbents’. No solver browsing either: it is a trainer, not a research tool.

Run It Once

Phil Galfond’s training site. Essential ($24.99 a month) unlocks 3,000+ videos; Elite ($199.99 a month) unlocks the full 8,000+ library from high-stakes pros, plus Q&As and study groups. Weakness: it is almost entirely video. There is no trainer and no grading, so you can watch a hundred hours and have no idea which of your own decisions are leaking.

DTO Poker

Two separate web products, DTO Cash and DTO MTT. The cash trainer starts at $9.99 a month for 17 spots with unlimited hands a day; the Pro tier ($39.99 a month) shows full ranges at every node. The MTT product is one of the most popular tournament trainers around. Weakness: the cash product is web-only with mobile listed as “coming soon”, and 17 spots is a narrow set for a regular who wants variety.

Postflop+

A mobile GTO trainer covering cash, tournaments and spins in one subscription, at $14.99 a month, $99.99 a year or $199.99 lifetime at time of writing. Free to download and try. Good value if you want cheap postflop reps across formats. Weakness: feedback is thinner than on the study tools; it tells you the answer more than it explains it, and progress tracking by concept is limited.

Poker Trainer (pokertrainer.se)

A Swedish beginner-friendly app and website with preflop, postflop, odds and hand-ranking exercises. 100K+ installs on Google Play and a 4.7-star iOS rating. Free with a daily hand limit; paid at $6.99 a week, $14.99 a month, $59.99–89.99 a year or $269.99 lifetime. Weakness: its postflop training is simplified rather than solver-solved, so it stops being useful around the point you start beating micro stakes.

Octopi Poker

A community-first platform aimed at tournament players: preflop ranges, a GTO trainer, hand uploads, weekly coaching and a Discord. Community tier is free; Personal is $25 a month; Professional $65 a month with ICM and final-table content. Weakness: web-only with no standalone mobile app, and thin for cash-game players.

Solvers vs trainers: which do you actually need?

A solver is a calculator. You define a spot, tell it the ranges and bet sizes, and it computes the unexploitable strategy from scratch. That is powerful and slow, and the hard part is not the software but knowing what to ask it. A trainer skips the computing and hands you the answers as practice. Unless you want to research spots nobody has solved for you, a trainer is the right buy, and a solver can come later if you ever find a question a trainer’s library cannot answer.
