Zayrion vs GTO Wizard: which one do you actually need?

GTO Wizard is the best-known solver study tool in poker. Zayrion is a mobile trainer for cash games. People search for a “GTO Wizard alternative” for two very different reasons, and this page separates them.

Short answer. Choose GTO Wizard if you want to explore solver output across formats, at a desk, and are happy paying $49–$169 a month for it. Choose Zayrion if you play cash games, want ten minutes of graded practice a day on your phone, and want a tool that finds your leaks from your own decisions, for $24.99 a month. They overlap on “practice against the solver”; they differ on almost everything else.

Choose GTO Wizard if…

None of that is faint praise. GTO Wizard is the deepest library in the market, and if your problem is “I don’t know what the solver does here”, it answers it better than we do.

Choose Zayrion if…

If your problem is “I know roughly what the solver does but I keep getting it wrong at the table”, that is what a trainer fixes, and it is what Zayrion is for.

Use both

The honest pairing looks like this. Once a week, sit down with GTO Wizard and explore a spot type that confused you: look at the ranges, compare sizes, understand the shape of the strategy. Every other day, open Zayrion for ten minutes and get graded on real spots. Zayrion’s review-your-misses screen and progress-by-concept tracking tell you which spot type to take into next week’s GTO Wizard session. The two tools stop competing and start feeding each other. At beta pricing, adding Zayrion to a GTO Wizard subscription costs less than a quarter of the Starter tier.

What we will not claim. Zayrion is newer, smaller and cash-only. It doesn’t let you browse arbitrary spots, and it isn’t a solver. If you need those things, GTO Wizard is the right tool and we would rather say so than sell you the wrong one.

What Zayrion actually gives you

You get dealt real solver-solved spots. You pick an action. You see the solver’s answer, what your choice cost, your equity and the hands you beat. Missed spots come back as drills. Hand of the Day keeps the streak going. Preflop charts and lessons from zero are there for the fundamentals. Progress is tracked by concept, so you know whether you’re weak on c-bets or on river calls, not just whether your score went up. Elite adds the exact action frequencies and range-based thinking for players who want to reason the way the solver does. Everything is educational, no real-money play, 18+.
